Black Inc FIVE is a class-leading road wheel, engineered to perfection with striking aesthetics. It is a tubeless compatible, disc-brake only clincher wheelset and a true all-rounder. FIVE is ideally suited to long days in the saddle, adept at climbing and turning it on when the going gets fast on the tarmac. The one-piece wheel structure has been carefully optimized with CFD software for superior handling and faster performance over traditional mid-depth steel spoked wheels.
FIVE’s, one-piece, five-spoke design draws upon inspiration from the motor and automotive industry and uses a unique Kamm tail design. Our engineers have validated the wheel’s performance in our own CFD and FEA models ensuring exceptional aerodynamics and strength based on real-world road conditions.
The hubs have been exclusively designed and manufactured in-house specifically for the FIVE wheel. In doing so, all tolerances have been optimized to match our customized Black Inc + CeramicSpeed long-life bearings for hub durability, while keeping rolling resistance to an absolute minimum. The hub has been specially developed with both a mechanical and chemical retention joint.
The Factor FIVE is a lightweight clincher wheelset at just 1,318g and has been developed for exceptional aero performance using NACA optimized spoke, rim and hub profiles.
