This is a faithful replica of the Bendix 2-speed automatic hub found on so many Schwinns in the late 1960s.
To change gears, you have to step back slightly, so it jumps from one gear to the next.
- The yellow line (UNDERDRIVE) has a low gear: 1 sprocket revolution for .67 hub revolution to go up hills more easily. The high gear is 1:1
- The blue line (OVERDRIVE) has a low gear of 1:1, and the high gear: 1 sprocket revolution for 1.5 hub revolutions
