It is plush. It is 3.5 mm thick. It has a very nice hand feel, wraps easily, and is long - which is nice for today's wide bars. The edges are tapered, so you can set it up mostly flat when wrapping around the handlebars, or have a bit more overlap for a firmer grip. Also, the included aluminium alloy handlebar plugs are of really good quality.
